(Pictured: seatbelt that needs cleaning)
Over the years seatbelts pick up dirt, just like most other parts of the interior. What is the best way to clean them?

Apply and rub gently with a soft sponge, wipe off with a clean towel.. rinse with water.. wipe dry with clean towel.
This gave me the best result.

An all purpose cleaner or degreaser on a cloth with a stiff nylon brush to get into stubborn stains (but don’t rub too aggressively which may damage the belt itself) and then wipe with a damp cloth and a dry cloth. Put the seat belt into the clip and let dry naturally.

That's for the advice. We have that product here in the U.S. too. :-)

Don’t use anything too harsh or you could damage the seat belt

I know you do :) Hot tip though, use a tiny amount, if that does not work, clean again.

His Lordship has good taste. You wanting something, anything that has a degreasing/cleaning action which the carpet and interior cleaner does.
There are many different types of cleaner for different substraights that will happily cross over into different markets.
In the most part a household all purpose cleaner will do most activities required around a car.
The thing you need to bare in mind is how to let it dry naturally. When spooled up it won’t dry properly, so best to leave the belt pulled out to dry by clipping it into the receiver.
